Aromatherapy as Aphrodisiac

aromatherapy aphrodisiac

Aromatherapy is the use of volatile liquid plant materials, known as essential oils (EOs), and other scented compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person's mood or health. Aromatherapy is a generic term that refers to any of the various traditions that make use of essential oils sometimes in combination with other alternative medical practices and spiritual beliefs. It has a particularly Western currency and persuasion. Medical treatment involving aromatic scents may exist outside of the West, but may or may not be intended by the term 'aromatherapy'.

Aromatherapy has roots in antiquity with the use of aromatic oils. However, as currently defined, aromatherapy involves the use of distilled plant volatiles, a twentieth century innovation. The word, aromatherapy, was first used in the 1920s by French chemist René Maurice Gattefossé, who devoted his life to researching the healing properties of essential oils after a lucky accident in his perfume laboratory. In the accident, he lit his arm on fire and thrust it into the nearest cold liquid, which happened to be a vat of lavender oil. Immediately he noticed surprising pain relief, and instead of requiring the extended healing process he had experienced during recovery from previous burns--which caused redness, heat, inflammation, blisters, and scarring--this burn healed remarkably quickly, with minimal discomfort and no scarring.

---Wikipedia
Aromatherapy is not only used to aid in the healing of illnesses and/or calming of the senses and the mind to relax, it can also be used as an aphrodisiac to set the mood for making love. Aphrodisiac aromatheraphy utilizes flowers most of the time. Every ancient culture has well documented the specific effects of flowers in the human libido. From the Egyptians and Romans to the Sumerians and Aztecs—sunflowers, peppermint, jasmine, lilies, and of course, roses—have populated the realm of romantic indulgence. The reason is not certain but perhaps it has something to do with the thought that flowers are the sexual representation of the plants. Logan Pearsall Smith pointed out in the late 1800s that flowers are the sex organ of the plant. Talk about phallic representation.

In order to raise our libido, we have to first raise our body temperature. The aphrodisiac essential oils are mostly warm, rich aromas, such as those that come from spices and certain flowers. Aphrodisiac aromatherapy can be tricky. It may take calculation. What one person loves, another might find ghastly, but on a very basic level aromatherapy is a natural aphrodisiac that works to calm, soothe, stimulate and reduce stress, or negative energy. Because impotence and frigidity is most often associated with stress, emotion and psychology, plants that work to calm and soothe while actively stimulating hormonal production and reducing stress and anxiety are key elements in an active and healthy sex life.

Flower aromas can have strong psychedelic effect if not used appropriately but in moderation it is mild and aids in sexual health by improving the mental and physical aspect of the one smelling it. Some flowers though can have both an aphrodisiac effect through its aroma and/or via its connotation with lust, beauty, and pleasure.

Aromatic Aphrodisiac Stuffs

Rose. What can be more romantic than a rose, especially if it is red? The essential oil from red roses is a strong aphrodisiac. It is said that Cleopatra used to take bath with milk and rose petals.

Jasmine. The queen of the night in India. This wonderful fragrance has proven to have sensual effects in humans. It has been found that Jasmine stimulates our senses without any negative side effects. This very expensive and rare essential oil has been used as an aphrodisiac for hundreds of years in India. Women in India use it in their hair at night so that their husbands will be drawn to them to make love. When elephants need some help to reproduce, it is said that the owners put jasmine oil on them to excite them. The fragrance alone, when it comes from good quality pure oils, is exquisite. Altered or artificial versions do not have the same aroma and effect.

Lavender. Lavender dates as far back as the early Egyptians, and the ancient Greeks used lavender to fight insomnia, insanity, and aching backs. During the Middle Ages, Benedictine monks used lavender as a medicine and a remedy against the Plague, while London peddlers sold it as a charm against evil. Lavender was thought to be a magical aphrodisiac. It could stimulate the senses while simultaneously relaxing the mind, putting the body into a unique and uncommonly comfortable state of pleasure.

Vanilla. The sweet aroma of vanilla also has aphrodisiac effects. It is subtle, but certainly it cannot be ignored. It was so precious to the pre-Colombian Indians that they considered it suitable for their Gods.

Ginger. This spice raises the body temperature and adds sizzling flavor to any foods and not many people will connect ginger and romance. It is used in creams for the bride to be in many countries in South Asia. The tangling flavor of ginger can be easily used to enhance the flavor of teas, drinks, and of course, Asian curries.

Lilies. These flowers have a very basic romantic quality, deriving their lustful nature from their simple beauty and purity. Since ancient times, lilies have been used in cuisine. The Romans would sprinkle roses and lilies on their food, the table, and over entire banquet halls. They can be eaten fresh, dried, crystallized or even sugared for decorating candies and cakes, and they can be added to salads, be infused into teas, and prepared with sauces, jellies and oils. The Greeks associate the lily with their goddess Hera, telling that the lily first sprouted from the milk of this divinity. It has also been said that Roman soldiers ate the bulbs for nutrients and that it was used as a salve for wounds and an ointment for burns.

Ylang ylang. This floral aroma comes from China and other Asian countries. By itself, it is very sweet, sometimes too sweet, but combine it with other essential oils and it creates great blends.

Peppermint. Peppermint is another out-of-the-ordinary plant served as an aphrodisiac. Peppermint is said to stimulate passion. It has also been heard that it increases activity of the imagination and creativity, as well as enhancing dreams. Peppermint contains several of the superior sex vitamins, but the most important is vitamin D, which is responsible for hormone reproduction.

Clove. Cloves also raise our body temperature. Cloves have a very distinctive and rich aroma. Combine with other aromas and it creates very rich fragrances.

Sunflower. Sunflowers are the symbol of the sun, deriving their life from the same energy that the planet and all its life forms breathe life from as well. Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, was like his father, Zeus. His lust for beauty and nymphs, and his enjoyment in female companionship added to his conquests, which numbered in the dozens. Sunflowers are versatile; their petals can be eaten or infused with tea and their seeds can be dried and eaten. Sunflowers contain chlorogenic acid, vitamin E and iron, all of which are essential nutrients in promoting sex drive and sexual health. Vitamin E is responsible for oxygenating your blood, while iron keeps your blood healthy and efficient. Stimulation of blood in your sex organs is a vital aspect of gratification, so healthy blood is important.

These are the essential aromatic and therapeutic aphrodisiacs that you can use to make you feel good and attract your partner. They are well-known and easy to use. You can use them in candles, oil burners, massage oils, bath oils, and even cooking, depending on your preference.

Love Spells for Lost Love

love spell for lost love

For people who still loves their exes or have partners who suddenly left without saying goodbye or any form of closure, here are some love spells that I found from the net to give you a chance to return your special someone who has gone off in search of a new love, or is currently in a new relationship. Yes, they are genuine love spells but they are not the type where you get dire consequences in case you messed up, although they do have quite some little bad effects in case you’re too stupid to play with it around. So, do it at your own risk. And make sure also that you really feel it important and sincere in your heart to have the person you loved and craved for back to you.

Prayer to Saint Anthony (Catholic Patron Saint of Lost Things)

It’s Saint Anthony of Padua who lived from 1195-1231 we are dealing with here. He was a Franciscan monk born in Portugal and then lived in Morocco before finally settling in Padua. He was known as an eloquent speaker. Prayer cards manufactured in Italy identify him as the saint of "miracles," but to most Catholics, he is the patron saint associated with the return of lost things and missing persons or, in your case, love.

Typically, people, usually Catholics, recite this prayer to him for the return of what they lost:
Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God
and Charity for His creatures made you worthy, when on
earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on
your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in
trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore
of you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer
may require a miracle. Even so, you are the saint of
Miracles.
O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full
of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the
Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms, and
the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.
Amen. (Say 13 Paters, Aves, and Glorias)

But according to some sources, you can utter another invocation which can have the same effect:
St. Anthony, St. Anthony
Please come down
Something is lost
And can't be found

Or this:
Dear St. Anthony, I pray
Bring it back, without delay.

Or maybe this:
Something's lost and can't be found
Please, St. Anthony, look around.

When you say these incantations, of course, it should be clear in your mind and heart what you’re petitioning Saint Anthony to return to you and not some things you just did in a party you’ve been at a while ago.

Argument Curing Spell

If you had a fight, an argument, or whatever untoward miscommunication that separated you for just a while you can use this spell to have both of you make-up with each other with your bitter feelings changing for the better.

You will need any purple object, preferably a candle, and the picture of your loved one you wish to make-up with.

Wrap the picture around the purple object with the picture facing the object (its white backside is exposed outside) then tie it so it doesn’t get loose. If the object’s bigger than the picture with a flat surface, you can put the picture face down on it instead. If it’s a candle you can light the candle. Within 24 hours, the bitter feelings would have surely eased out. In no sooner time, you and your loved one will be offering one another apologies and make-up. If you haven’t heard from them after about a day when you did this spell, maybe you can give them a call or go see them. Rest assured everything will be calmer between the two of you.

Return Lost Love Spell

You’ll need six candles; one for each color -- red, blue, green, yellow; and two for pink. Light them according to their corresponding positions (put them first in their corresponding corners before lighting them): red = south, green = north, yellow = east, blue = west. Get inside the four candles and hold the two pink candles then light them. Face the red candle and recite until you feel you’ve done enough already:
"Beautiful Goddess, powerful God, hear my prayer! Lords of fire, burn my desire, times three If it is meant to be, Bring *NAME* back to me."

The Mantra of Love

Write in a paper “*YOUR NAME* loves *YOUR BELOVED’S NAME*”. Say it in reverse, meaning all the letters in reverse and not just the sequence of the words. Then write the reversed words in a new paper with a green ink, crayon, or pencil, whichever without spaces (all the letters go together). You must carry with you these papers all the time, the longer the more potent the spell is. Every day, you must take out the paper written in green and recite it seven times in a screaming volume. Recite it letter per letter as in “N, E, L, L, E, etc, etc.” If you’re smart enough, do it in a place where no one will mind what the heck you’re doing. But, if you can take the thought that they consider you as a crack pot, well, by all means, you can just forget that I warned you. Always take note that you should take out the paper where the reversed letters are written in green every time you recite it loudly. And don’t forget to carry with you also the one you wrote first.

This spell can also be used if you’re wishing to have a particular person fall in love with you.

The Photo Spell

This one’s not from the net but from those whom I asked who have, let’s say, quite a handy knowledge about these things. All you’ll need is a photo of the one you wish to return to you, a black cloth, and a red string.

Wrap the photo with the black cloth. Then, tie the red string around the wrapped photo. Prepare a special altar-like place where you could place the photo wrapped in black cloth and tied in red string. A cabinet top or a small table top will do. Place the photo with a candle beside it, any candle will do. Light the candle and say any prayer you want with the particular person you wish to be back to you in your mind. Always be sincere about your wish when you do this for the spell to be effective. After the prayer you can put-off the candle. Then, every time you go to bed, light up the candle and do the same prayer with the specific person you wish to come back in mind. Put out the candle after the prayer then place the photo under your pillow. Do this everyday and you’ll be meeting up with your long lost love soon enough.

They say the more you do it, the more this person you wish to be back will think and dream of you. It’s as if they can’t have a day without the thought of you. Try to contact them to add more pressure. When doing this, according to my sources, patience is always the key. They say people will not always be easily carried away by just dreams and simple remembering. Time is always a proven element that solves most things.

Candle Love Spell

candle love spell

Love spells, love spells.... I'm not sure if you believe in love spells but here's one sample which you might be interested in.
A WHITE CANDLE LOVE SPELL TO ATTRACT NEW LOVE

Here is a white candle love spell i was taught by a friend, Miriam Singer, who had it from another woman many years ago. It was given to me as a "woman's spell," possibly because of the phallic shape of the candle, but i see no reason a man could not perform it -- and in fact, since i first posted it on the web in 1994, i have heard from a number of men who have used it with success and satisfaction.

Get a white candle that will burn down in due time. You will have to inscribe it (see below), so it should be bigger than a birthday candle, and you will also have to watch it burn down to nothing (see below), so it should not be a 24 hour votive light. A plain white 4" altar candle or, better yet, a white "bride and groom" figural candle, will be right.

Prepare an altar and decorate it with those things precious to you and to the one you love. Using a rose thorn from a white rose bush, inscribe the words "All my love come to me" 3 times on the candle. Place the inscribed candle in the center of the altar and light it. For the entire time the candle burns, gaze upon it and visualize your love coming to you in nakedness and beauty. When the candle burns out, collect the wax puddle that remains, wrap it up with the mementos from the altar and keep it in a safe place.

The result of this spell will not be "zombie" or "victim" thrall-love; but you will receive ALL the love that person has for you -- which may be less than, as much as, or more than the love you have for him. Accept the degree of love you receive with grace and tenderness.

If at some future time you no longer wish to receive that person's love, dispose of the ritual remains in a simple ceremonial way. Depending on your mood, the wax puddle can be burned on a fire, buried at a crossroads, thrown into running water, mailed to him, ground to shavings and baked into a cake -- or whatever you feel is appropriate. But it is your responsibility to dispose of it if you no longer want to be loved in any degree by that person.

(The Free Dictionary)

Potion = A potion (from Latin potio, potionis, meaning beverage, potion, poison) is a drinkable medicine or poison. (Wikipedia)

Love Potion = love-potion
n : a drink credited with magical power; can make the one who
takes it love the one who gave it [syn: philter, philtre,
love-philter, love-philtre] (dict.die.net)

Gayuma = love potion in" tagalog." More than being a concocted drink or additive, it is also associated with any object that arouses one's sexual desire towards another person, usually the one who gave or owned the object referred to as gayuma. (my definition)

In the Philippine setting, although accepted as a myth or a superstitious belief, gayuma is still something that most people turn to when it comes to matters of the heart that can't be solved by courtship or any other means of winning one's heart. Concocted most of the time from herbs, plant roots, and other stuffs believed to have extra special magical powers, they aren't hard to find once you know where to look for them (most of the time near prominent churches such as Quiapo church and Baclaran church). Since the early times, its effectiveness, according to its patrons, is proven and will not fail as long as one believes in its mystical properties.

And now, here I am concocting my very own "love potion" in its digital form. Like shamans of time forgotten, I breath magic into my craft hoping it will somehow make Internet people notice at the very least. Carefully, I'm concocting the right mix of mystical ingredients in the form of "content" to my device (blog), slowly but surely learning what is effective and what is a spoiler, what mixes well and what messes up everything when combined. Later, when it becomes a success, who knows what form it will take.

To anyone interested here are the love potions I've managed to write about. Enjoy!!!

Aphrodisiacs, Love Potion5

aphrodisiacs

Aphrodisiacs have long been part of the cultural heritage on all parts of the world. Almost everyone is preoccupied with the propagation of the species; and keeping it all the more worthwhile and exciting became part of every culture’s practices and interests even if considered taboo by the prevailing ideology.

Asia has its share in the use of aphrodisiacs. In fact, even with all these population explosion problems and the demise of the population of several endangered species, consumption of these aphrodisiacs is still practiced and highly sought after.

It’s as if it’s as important as, say, special occasions or community activities. Actually, it’s a personal take but, judging from what I have been seeing, it’s even a lot more.

When it comes to keeping the love alive, nothing is more proven than aphrodisiacs. More than a dose of mystical love potions, these ingestible igniters of sexual desires have been long associated with love, romance and passion.

Most common aphrodisiacs have been known to produce substances in our body that heightens our sensuality and increases our blood flow. If so, in a sense, it is also a sort of love potion. Anyways, here are some common aphrodisiacs that may come your way.

SWEETS
Chocolate, with its rich and sweet flavor and smooth creaminess, has compounds that simulate the feelings you get when you are in love. Eat lots of this and over time you’ll be saying good bye to your beautiful teeth, or worse, there’s a sickness called diabetes. So, take this only occasionally.

HERBS
Herbs are known for their healthful properties as well as aphrodisiac qualities. A happy, healthy love life requires two happy, healthy people. Herbs can help. Be careful though. Take only herbs that are used for cooking. Some medicinal herbs are poisonous when not prepared properly. Maybe instead of leading a happy love life, you end up with an untimely death.

Basil - The fresh leaves have an alluring aroma.
Cilantro -  also known as Coriander, is a pungent herb that promotes vigor, and heightens emotions and arousal, especially for women.
Oregano – O-re-ga-no, O-re-gan, Or-gan. The Italian herb has more going for it than you know!
Rosemary - Heightens memory and improves circulation. Take it and you won’t forget.
Saffron - A stimulating, expensive herb, saffron has an association with luxury.
Thyme - This herb contains many antioxidants that keep your cells humming along. Antioxidants also help reduce the occurrence of cancer.

SPICES
Spices have been considered aphrodisiacs by many cultures around the world. Their intense flavor surely must jump start two sweethearts' love life.

Chili Powder - Highly flavorful and often very hot. Its intensity can add to yours. Caution: Hot. Take only what you can handle.
Cinnamon - Sweet but stimulating, cinnamon increases blood flow.
Clove - Exotic spice that boosts your energy, energy to last the night.
Fennel - This tasty seed increases sex drive.
Ginger - Another flavorful, hot spice that can add a jump to your love life.
Nutmeg- A spice with a complex aroma that excites the imagination.
Vanilla - The smell alone increases blood flow and is especially enticing for older men. When you’re old and nothing happens, try Viagra.

SEAFOOD
Seafood has often been associated with the ability to arouse sensual feelings, because they are rich in protein.

Caviar - An exotic food that promotes sensuousness.
Oyster - Raw oysters, perhaps it’s the texture or the flavor, have long been considered an aphrodisiac.
Salmon - Rich, deeply flavorful fish that stimulates the appetite.
Tuna Steak - A food that creates a boisterous, happy well being (especially when grilled).

FRUITS
Aside from their vitamin and mineral rich properties, fruits often play our imaginations because of their close resemblance to the human organs that are associated and involved in sex.

Apricot - Plump and sweet flavored, apricots where thought by the Chinese to indicate a romantic, sensual nature.
Banana - Shape, sweetness, and texture promotes sensuality.
Cherry - These delectable fruits are said to arouse desire, especially in women.
Date - Rich and exotic, dates are considered aphrodisiacs for women.
Peach - Succulent, juicy, and flavorful, a ripe peach is a sensual treat and promotes interest in other sensual treats!
Pear - A ripe pear with sweet juice... yummmmmmmy.
Fig - A soft, ripe fig has an incredible sweet flavor, just perfect for sharing with your love.
Papaya - Tropical and exotic, excellent for nibbling.
Strawberry - Just-picked, perfect strawberries are ideal for dipping in chocolate, or savoring on their own.
Avocado - Rich and creamy, considered an aphrodisiac especially for women.

VEGETABLES
A lot of people consider vegetables dull like something that they eat because they've been told. "Vegetables are good for you." They are, but perhaps, not in the way you expected. Like fruits, they too are very suggestive.

Asparagus - Long stems and succulent tips that can be quite suggestive.
Carrot - All root vegetables draw power and intensity from the earth and can transfer that power and intensity to your love life.
Celery - Great for pepping up your blood flow.
Cucumber - Just its shape alone gives people ideas.
Radish - Another root vegetable that's crisp, allowing you to sink your teeth into it.
Turnip - A rather dull looking vegetable, but turnips gives strength to soups, stews, and you.
Zucchini - Similar to a cucumber.

Magic Potion, Love Potion4

Here’s another love potion for you. I got this formula from my mother who also learned it from her father who was an herbalist back when he’s still alive.

Ingredients:
  • Payang-payang gubat roots (Mongoose Plant)
  • Alagau roots-those found only where the forest foliage is thick or on the foot of a mountain
  • The stem of a kind of Bali-bali plant found in the forest
  • Roots of a forest Eucalyptus
  • Manunggal bark and roots
  • Tagpong-gubat leaves and roots
  • Kalingag roots
  • and a few more roots from trees whose description I can't find in the internet

This is a collection of rare roots from the forest. Take only small amounts of the roots. Mix in all of the ingredients, and place it in a small container, which is filled with coconut oil (note: "not virgin coconut oil"), that you can place in your pocket or in any small corners. Heed this warning: This mixture is not meant to be drunk!!! You only wear it with you when you want it to take effect. The effect of this potion is simple. You easily please other people with your personality making them comfortable and at ease while talking to them.

With women, my mother recalled her father’s words; “Una mahuhuli mo yung ngiti, kasunod ang puso, tapos yung sa ibaba.” When translated in english it goes like; “First, you’ll catch a smile, next is the heart, and later that thing below.” You know what he meant by “below” right? Anyways, it’s an expression for “getting laid.” More than scoring with the opposite sex, the potion was also said to be good at business since you and your business will be much more appealing to your market. Take note that the potion won’t be able to take effect on some people. Be always aware, also, of its don'ts. The potion would lose its powers when you do one of the following:
  • (If you’re a female) You touched the potion while having a menstrual period.
  • You brought the potion in a funeral or touched it after visiting a funeral.
  • You brought the potion near someone giving birth.
  • You killed someone.
  • You don’t regularly bring the potion to the forest where you took it.
  • You don’t regularly pray over the potion.

With regards to bringing the potion to the forest, you should do it once a year during the Lenten week. Its purpose is to recharge the magical properties of the potion. The same applies to praying it over. Any prayer you know will do as long as you pray intimately and from your heart. The ingredients are hard to come by but if you’re really interested you’re always free to try.

Flower Palm, Love Potion3

Hello!!!! This is the third part of my love potion series. I never knew I would be this interested in writing all these love stuff.

I have lots of potions and spells to tell you but I guess those should be for the following more weeks. I don’t want to run out of ideas early, you know.

This love stuff I’m about to tell you is more of a supernatural gift rather than what a common man or woman is capable of performing on their own.

It involves what Pinoys call “agimat” or “charms.” And this agimat is more than just some silly religious items that “quacks” or shamanic doctors pray upon. I mentioned “silly religious items” because, here in the Philippines, some unscrupulous self-proclaimed mystical and faith healers sell you these sort of magical items that they claim as the answer to the problems you seek to be resolved; when in fact, it is just some fancy item made out of the usual home made materials turned magical by their traditional marketing techniques.

The agimat, or charm, magical item, or amulet; whatever you want to call it, that I’m talking about is something given as a gift to a very important person by a mystical creature in the forest as a token of appreciation to his good deed.
The one who owned this “agimat” is actually my grandfather on my father’s side who lived back in Mindanao, the southern region of the Philippines.

His story goes something like this. During the World War 2, Japan invaded Philippines and placed the nation under strict political rule and treated its citizens like animals.

Of course, this wouldn’t go on unquestioned and taken for granted. Several of Philippine’s revolting men and women fled to the mountains to fight the Japanese through guerilla warfare.

My gramps was one of these brave men who challenged the Japanese oppressors. It is there in the mountains that he received this very special gift from a mystical creature.

According to his story, one night while the rest of the guerilla troops are sleeping, he felt as if someone is waking him up, calling his name from deep within the woods.

Restless and unable to sleep, he decided to stroll into a hot spring nearby to refresh a very irritating evening.

All of a sudden, from atop a large stone near the spring, he couldn’t believe what is within his gaze.

There appears to be figures of small people about the length of one’s hand in height stirring some sort of commotion on top of the stone. It’s as if they are ganging up on another one of their kind.

After a while, he noticed the colors of the clothes these creatures are wearing. There were 2 wearing black and then another one in red, they were all beating up a helpless white one. Then, my grandfather hears this poor beaten up creature call his name.

Without further a do, he rushed to the rescue of the creature in distress. He tried to pound the harassers to smithereens but the figures suddenly vanished into thin air including the white one.

He searches for any signs of them around the area but there’s nothing he could find. Finally, he gives up and returns to his camp.

After three days, in a dream, the white small creature resembling a miniature human being talked to him, thanking him for his heroic deed in saving him from the malevolent creatures that was ganging up on him.

In exchange for his help, the creature rewarded him with a small white flower that grows in his hand. Others wouldn’t be able to see it except him. “It will only appear when the right time comes;” said the mystical being.

The war ended but these are the only things he knew about that particular gift. He has no idea if it’s with him already or if it’s just a silly dream that should be dismissed and forgotten.

Finally, at the death of his eldest son due to measles, the creature appeared right before him. It told him that the time is ripe already and that the flower shall begin to blossom shortly after the burial of his son.

The promise of the creature came true. At first, it was just an itchy palm but later he could see white flowers growing out of his palm.

To everyone’s amazement, they would claim smelling a sweet fragrant smell whenever my grandpa approaches although he would always say he hadn’t worn any perfume.

Since then, my grandpa had been popular to girls wherever he goes. He always says it only takes him a wink or a smile and then the next day he would have a new girlfriend.

He had 4 wives before he finally met my father’s mother where he had 8 children and finally settled for good, but the flings here and there which constantly start the fight between him and his wife remained part of his lifestyle.

Before my grandma, he already had a total of 14 children from his former wives and lovers.

After grandma, he had 5 children outside marriage. So all in all, he had 27 children scattered all throughout Mindanao and Visayas, the southern regions of the Philippines.

According to my father, my grandpa is also capable of healing various diseases through a massaging technique or “hilot” applied on the affected part. But he never actively honed this skill since he is not particularly in terms with being responsible to another person’s life.

Another account of my uncle is that his father was also capable of evading attackers when he leans his back on a wall.

One time, when my uncle, my father’s older brother, was still young, he remembers seeing grandpa chased in a public market by three thugs, perhaps someone wants to take revenge on him.

When he was cornered by the three on a concrete wall, he just leaned on the wall facing his opponents and he was able to dodge all of the punches and kicks thrown at him, eventually escaping the three through series of maneuvers and injuring one of them with a broken arm.

My grandpa died at the age of 90, I was 10 then. I wasn’t able to attend his wake since it was very far from Manila and, at the time, it would take you 3 days to reach the place via passenger ships. Airfares that time were so expensive. So, it’s really one heck of a long journey and a burden as well for the whole family to go there.

And so my father decided he’ll be the only one to attend it. But even in his death, according to my father, everyone in the crowd would still be surprised to see an unfamiliar young face weeping on his coffin.

When asked, these mysterious young women would claim to be just a close friend, in fact too close for a friend. Even with the questions answered, most would doubt their stories since my grandpa was notorious for his unfailing charm.

This is my grandpa’s story as told to me by my father. It might sound like a tall tale but I assure you it isn’t.

Reverse Power of Sweat, Love Potion2

Yes, here’s another one of the love potion series, so for everyone interested please take note.

Actually, this one does not resemble anything close to a love potion in its literal sense. However it is possible to make a connection since, conceptually, its mere purpose entails or connotes the same idea on which love potion is founded.

This belief can be categorized more as a love spell or witchcraft since it does not involve mixing or concocting any form of substance for ingestion.

Last time, I mentioned the power of things that come from you to work for or against you. It was the power of one’s sweat, to be specific, working for his/her heart’s desire that was given close attention. This time though, it’s the reverse. When someone who’s really crazy for you takes your shirt or anything you wore or constantly use (anything that is constantly in contact with your body), they can use that particular thing to dominate your character or, worst, control you.

The secret to it is keeping the worn or used item with its user’s scent in it without washing it. According to old folks knowledgeable in such beliefs, with this technique of keeping worn or used items, it will be hard for the person who used the item to remove you from his/her thoughts and, eventually, find you unforgettable.
To do this, one is required to acquire an item used by the object of his/her desire. The item should be something just recently worn or used, preferably clothing (as to how they will get this worn clothing, again, it’s entirely up to the one who wishes to do it).

Once the item is finally at hand, it should not be washed to keep part of the essence of the one who wore it in it.

It may smell awkward due to its user’s B.O. (body odor) hanging on it but that’s part of the ordeal one needs to undergo in order to reap the fruit of the effort given.

The item should be placed under the pillow used when sleeping. Once the wielder of the item goes to sleep with it under his/her head, it is there that the love spell takes effect.

Basically, when one sleeps, since his/her head lies over the enchanted item (enchanted because, in the process, it is visualized or projected to perform an enchanting ability, thus given the attribute of being enchanted), it signifies a sort of connection in the spiritual level.

Through this, it is said the person who used the item will always dream of the one who kept it. Also, through this connection, if one is capable of manipulating his/her dream, the keeper can extend the effect of the spell even further into controlling the emotion or the feelings of the owner of the item towards him/her.

By constantly doing this, theoretically, the man or woman of your dreams will be deceived into thinking that the two of you are meant for each other (soul mates) since you are frequently in his or her dreams.

Based on some stories circulating about this practice, there are several who do this with Latin prayers before getting to sleep. It is said that the prayers enhance the effectiveness of the love spell.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with the prayers since I don’t know any.

About the item that should be placed underneath the pillow, anything will do as long as it is directly used by the one you’re planning to use the spell on, but they say the most potent ones are usually the clothes they wore.

True or not, effective or useless, I would say this is not to be taken as a full proof action to make someone fall for you since it might lead to dreadful repercussions.

Yes, you might be able to end up having someone’s heart but the very idea of it as an ill-gotten gain will, definitely, only result into an ill-ended faith both for you and your victim. Like the goblin saying goes; “Grow food in dirt? Save time, eat dirt.”

Sweat Potion, Love Potion01

Here in the Philippines, there's a belief that anything that comes from you can be used in favor or against you, in its mystical sense (something like vodoo): a piece of hair, the shirt you last wore, even your photos.

Even how scary a thought it is, these beliefs can be used to our advantage, especially when trying to get something we badly covet or, perhaps, need. In terms of the desire to own or control a person to whom you're deeply inlove with, love potion or "gayuma" becomes a key

Like what I've said, anything that comes from you is a potent mystical stuff which can either work for or against you. Your sweat comes from you, it is the love juice that oozes out from you everytime your body exert force. The love potion I'm about to share with you has one and only ingredient, sweat, and it's pretty easy to prepare.

First, you need to sweat considerably. Try doing things that will make you sweat prior to a dinner date, anytime before the date will do. You can jog, do your house chores, or perhaps take a sauna. When you're all pumped up with sweat, of course the next thing to do is collect your sweat.

Find a nice clean face towel or handkerchief to wipe off your sweat. Yes, wipe them all off until the cloth is really wet.

According to some, the most potent sweat would be those coming from your inner thighs and crotch. I would suggest wiping on that area too for the potion to be more effective.

Later, bring your sweat filled hanky or face towel. It doesn't matter if it dries up, as long as the stinky sour odour of your bodily juices remains there, you're good to go.

Before dining, find a way to place your sweat into the liquid your partner will drink. Soaking the sweat-filled piece of cloth into the drink will do. Of course, don't leave the piece of cloth in the liquid that would be stupid. Your only goal is to make your sweat mix-in with the liquid.

Don't worry about the odd taste it will be producing, it doesn't taste a thing.

How you'll be doing it is entirely yours (you can wait till your partner goes into the bathroom). And the moment he/she drinks it, well... you can tell me later what happens.

Old folks say its really effective, giving you the ability to be more dominant in your relationship.
Some say the effect isn't instantaneous. You'll have to wait some more days before it triggers its full power.

I've also heard several stories of men who doesn't really fit the word "handsome," "responsible," or a "husband material" but they are able to marry a beautiful wife. When asked how he was able to pull their relationship through, his answer would be using this sort of thing.

I can't say its really effective, I guess it all depends on how people translate their observations of their date partners after they do this stuff. So, are you willing to give it a try?
